Time flies...

Hello my lovelies!

God that feels weird saying that again. Long time no post, eh? It has been exactly 6 months today since I posted my last blog post. This wasn't intentional, life just kind of got in the way. These past 6 months have been the most hectic, but also the most rewarding part of my life.
Some of you may be new here, and some of you may be my old faithfuls, so let's just fill you all in quickly. In September 2015 I started my dream career as a teacher. I am training to be a teacher as part of a scheme called Teach First. Essentially this means that I am thrown into teaching head first with a timetable, and I do my essays for my training during the half term breaks that I have. As you can imagine this means that spare time is a luxury at the minute because it is such a rarity!

It is hard to believe that I am half way through my teaching year already and on Monday I will be starting term 4 of 6. I have learnt so much along the way so far, about teaching and about myself as a person. Term 3 was probably the toughest. It was a short term which meant everything was a massive rush. It was dark when I went to school and it was dark when I left, which wasn't the nicest! I had observations coming out of my ears too, it was a lot to deal with. However, I really feel as if I have found my feet this term. I am feeling more confident in my own ability, and I am even stretching myself towards new challenges (I set up a cupcake elective for 10 students - yay for baking!) This has been a great feeling and I am excited to start the new term.

Moving away from teaching, something else has happened in my personal life which has changed the dynamics of my life...I have a boyfriend! We have been together for 3 months now, so it is still quite early on, but I have never been happier. I can quite easily say that I have never met a person before that makes me laugh like Ross does, or treats me in such a special way. He is so supportive with my career and he makes all of my spare time fun, and something that I always look forward to. This weekend we are going to a spa hotel in Dover for an overnight stay. We plan on walking along the cliffs, having dinner, and getting back massages - it is going to be amazing!

It feels so nice to write a blog post again. I have missed just writing how I am feeling and catching up with all of you. So please let me know, how are you? What have you been up to? What's new?
