Rolo cupcakes!

Hello my lovelies!

I have had a couple of weeks off of baking due to revision and not having enough time. Now that things have settled down a bit I decided to bake to relax. I haven't had cupcakes in ages so I decided to go for a simple chocolate cupcake with chocolate icing and I added rolo's too! This took no time to make at all and they taste delicious.

Ingredients for the cake
110g caster sugar
100g self-raising flour
110g butter
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract

Ingredients for the icing
225g icing sugar
110g butter
2 tbsp milk (your choice of milk)
2 tbsp cocoa powder
3 pack of rolo's for decoration

Pre-heat oven to gas mark 5

Step 1: Mix together the sugar and the butter from the cake ingredients
Step 2: Add in the rest of the ingredients to your butter mixture and mix this all together.
Step 3: Spoon your mixture into 12 cupcake cases and place in the oven for 13-15 minutes
Step 4: While your cupcakes are baking you can make your icing. Mix together the icing sugar and the butter.
Step 5: After this add in the rest of your ingredients. You can add more milk if you think your mixture is too hard. This is up to you!
Step 6: Spoon your mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large star nozzle.
Step 7: Get your cupcakes out of the oven and leave them to cool for 30 minutes. Once cool you can ice your cupcakes.
Step 8: Grab your rolo's and put on however many you want! For two on each it used 2 packets and 2 additional rolo's.
