Chocolate cookies!

Hello my lovelies!

I am sure you have seen this recipe before on Tanya's blog and Zoe and Anna's videos, but I thought it would be nice to have it on my blog too. These cookies always go down so well with whoever eats them and they are super easy to make too. I tweeted Tanya a picture of my cookies this week and she retweeted them...so now they are famous and you have no excuse not to get in on the action! For this recipe you will need...

200g unsalted butter
300g caster sugar
1 large egg
275g self-raising flour
75g cocoa powder
Large bar of white chocolate
Large bar of milk or dark chocolate (your choice or have both!)

Pre-heat your oven to gas mark 5

Step 1: Cream together your butter and sugar
Step 2: Add in all of the other dry ingredients and mix them together
Step 3: Add in the egg and mix together
Step 4: Add a dash of milk if your mixture looks dry
Step 5: Break all of your chocolate into chunks and mix into your chocolate mixture
Step 5: Line a baking tray
Step 6: Make your mixture into a ball and place on the baking tray. You can make these as large or as little as you want but just remember, if you make them big you will need to leave room on the baking tray because they expand
Step 7: Place them in the oven for 11 minutes
Step 8: Take them out of the oven and leave them to harden for 20 minutes or more if needed. Note: they will not look cooked when you get them out of the oven. That is okay! Do not leave them in for longer than the allotted time.
Step 9: Transfer off of the baking tray once hardened and enjoy!
