Nutella cupcakes!

Hello my lovelies!

The other day I had a massive craving for Nutella so I thought I would try and find a recipe that included Nutella. This is when I stumbled across Nutella cupcakes - how yummy! Since posting a picture of these on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram they have become my most popular bake. Many people have asked for a recipe so here it is. Please share any photo's with me if you try to make these!

Cake ingredients:
100g plain flour
20g cocoa powder
140g caster sugar
1.5 teaspoons of baking powder
1 pinch of salt
40g butter
120ml milk
1 medium egg

Decoration ingredients:
250g icing sugar
80g unsalted butter
25ml milk
80g Nutella
Bag of M&M's

Pre-heat oven to gas mark 3/170C

Step 1: Put the plain flour, cocoa powder, caster sugar, baking powder, salt and butter into a bowl and mix together.
Step 2: Pour the milk into the mixture and mix again.
Step 3: Crack the egg into the mixture and mix again.
Step 4: Spoon this mixture into 12 cupcakes cases and place these cases in a cupcake tray. Place in the oven to bake for 20 minutes.
Step 5: Once baked leave them to cool on a wire rack
Step 6: While they cool you can make your icing. Beat the icing sugar and butter together.
Step 7: Pour in the milk and mix again
Step 8: Add in the Nutella and mix again. You can add a bit more if you want it to be extra chocolatey!
Step 9: Add the icing into a piping bag with a large star nozzle. Pipe the icing onto the cupcakes once they have cooled to prevent the icing from melting.
Step 10: Grab some M&M's and add these to the icing for a bit of colour and texture!
