Meet my cats!

Hello my lovelies!

I have a confession to make...I am a massive cat lady. I love everything about cats. Their fluffy little feet, their long whiskers, their purrs. So god damn cute. I am lucky enough to have two family cats of our own called Maisie and Rebus. I have wanted to write this post for ages so fellow cat lovers can meet my little kitties and hopefully love them as much as I do!

Maisie is currently 5 years old and we got her when she was a kitten. One of my Nan's neighbours cat had kittens and they wanted to find loving homes for them. So we took Maisie, she is black and white, and my Auntie took her brother Monty who is ginger. Maisie has always been playful ever since she was little and she is very adventurous. She likes to spend most of her time outside rolling around in dirt of climbing the fences. She loves a cuddle but only on her terms! Otherwise she will run away and be by herself. She likes to chase after me when I am putting out the washing so it is much more of a mission trying to get upstairs when she is running loops around me!

Rebus is currently 4 years old and we got him a year after Maisie. We also got Rebus when he was a kitten because we wanted Maisie to have someone to play with. It took a while to convince my Dad but we got there in the end! Rebus is a ginger/beige cat with tiger like stripes. I haven't seen many other cats that look like him so he is quite unique. Rebus is much more of a house cat. He prefers sitting indoors and sleeping instead of going on adventures outside. He is a big cuddler but likes it when you mess about with him. He purrs his head off when you stroke his fur backwards - weird I know!
Their relationship

When we first introduced Rebus to Maisie, Maisie was very wary. With her being a year older she had grown out of the playing stage whereas Rebus was still very much in it. To begin with she hissed and ran away but it didn't take her long to get used to him. They play fight a lot now and Rebus always lurks around corners waiting to pounce on her but it is all harmless. You do see the odd moment where they lick each others noses which is super cute but normally they just stay out of each others way!

I hope you have enjoyed an insight into my crazy cat lady life! Sorry this is a bit of a different post from my usual ones but I wanted to let you into a personal bit of my life. I love both of my cats with all my heart and wanted you to love them too.
