Body shop beauties...

Hello my lovelies!

Now, I don't know why but I have never been a big fan of the body shop. It has always been one of those shops that I walked past and never took much notice of. I have always just preferred to pop into Boots or Superdrug. Recently I have seen quite a lot of bloggers and youtubers rave about body shops BB cream so I thought it was about time I broke my prejudice and tried the shop again. Guess what's coming...I am now converted! Not only did I buy the BB cream but I also purchased two other products, joined their loyalty card scheme and received a free body butter.
The first thing that I picked up was the BB cream, after all that was the only thing I was going in there for. They had a range of shades so I spent a while using the testers. The BB cream is actually colour matching to your skin so you can't really go too wrong. However, if you know me you will know I am SUPER pale (even after my holiday) so I opted for the lightest shade (00). The cream itself is quite watery but I don't find it hard to work with. It is easiest to put it on the back of your hand and then use a brush to transfer it onto your face. After a few swirls the colour changes from a white consistency to the colour that will match your skin. This isn't heavy coverage but it will be great for those days when I don't want to wear a lot of makeup but still want my skin to look fresh. This is £12.
The next thing I purchased was their aloe gentle face wash. I absolutely love anything with aloe vera in it, it does the world of good to my skin and I always see results pretty instantly. This is just a normal foam face wash, pump around 2 pumps in your hand and then apply to a wet face to massage it in. I normally leave it on for around 30 seconds before I wipe it off and my skin always feels squeaky clean and fresh. This is £8.50.
My final purchase (excluding my free body butter) was the vitamin E aqua boost sorbet. This is a fairly  new product from what I gathered in the store. I have dry skin normally so this product was definitely needed to rehydrate my skin. And my oh my am I in love with this! For one, it is pink and smells AMAZING. Secondly, my skin feels so fresh and hydrated (duh) after I use it. It makes my skin feel a lot clearer too. I put this on before I go to bed because I personally feel like that is when my skin gets the most dry. This is £12.
Finally, it is the body shop body butter. I opted for the strawberry one because in my opinion you can never go wrong with a bit of strawberry! Like I said at the start I got this for free because I joined the body shop card scheme. If you are a student then you get it for free and you still get the free body butter so it is definitely worth checking out. Usually it costs £5 for the year but the sales assistant told me you get a voucher on your birthday, throughout the year and you get freebies now and then too. Worth the money! This body butter is great, easy to apply and absorbs into your skin quickly. No waiting around for your skin to dry. This usually sells at £13.
All in all I am super happy with the body shop and I am glad I gave it another chance. Are there any shops that you have given a 2nd chance recently?
