Day in the life #4: Windsor...

Hello my lovelies!

Now that my exams are finished it means I have time to go and do things that I want and see my friends. Today I went for a day trip to Windsor with my oldest friend Jenny. We both go to the same university but I know Jenny from home, I don't see her any where near as much as I would like to so today was so lovely. We got to have a catch up, lunch and a mooch around the shops. Jenny and I could not talk for ages and when we do it feels like no time has passed at all! So here are the pictures from today...

We started off the day by getting a train to Windsor. After a bit of confusion we finally got on the right train and were on our way to start the day.

As we walked up the hill towards the shops we walked past Windsor castle and took the obligatory photo's there. It really is a beautiful castle and I never get bored of visiting it.

The first thing we stopped for was food because we were absolutely starving! We went to Wagamama's and we were both so impressed with the food, as always. Jenny tried their new lobster salad and I had the grilled chicken katsu curry. This is the healthier version of the chicken katsu curry because the chicken isn't fried and they use brown rice. But man was it scrummy!

Our shopping then unintentionally turned a bit sweet based. We went into this amazing sweet shop called Hardy's that is in Windsor. It has all of the old fashioned sweet jars where you can choose what you want. They have vintage tins galore (something that I had to restrain myself wholeheartedly from buying) and loads of American goodies too. We also stumbled across a patisserie that sold macaroons. I absolutely LOVE macaroons so I had to buy some. I love the packaging that these are sold in too - so cute.

Finally we hit some shops that you will all know and love - Cath Kidston and Lush. Neither of us bought anything in Cath Kidston but we always like to have a look around and admire all the floral prints. I bought a lip scrub in Lush because I love wearing lipstick so need to keep them in good condition! I went for the Mint Julips one because it smelled divine.

I had such a lovely day today and just thought I would share it with you guys. It just goes to show that you don't need to go anywhere fancy, it is just the company that matters!
