Day in the life #2; Afternoon tea...

Hello my lovelies!

I am doing another day in the life post, I know this is my second this week but I have been lucky enough to have 2 great days in the same week. Today I went for afternoon tea (very posh I know) with my Mum, sister, Aunties and Nan. It was such a lovely day and reminded me how much I missed my family. I had a lot of fun and laughed hard at the madness in my family. This post will mainly be photo's but I thought I would share with you this gorgeous place. It is a place called Monkey Island in Berkshire, they do lunch and dinner too but we opted for the £18pp afternoon tea.

I will start by showing you the food...

All of the food was delicious, I was very full by the end of it! Luckily we could take it home if we didn't finish so I have a scone to snack on tonight. I am not a great fan of tea so I was a bit worried about this element, but surprisingly I actually found a tea that I liked - peppermint tea! It was very fresh and went with the food really nicely.

Next I will show you the grounds of Monkey Island...

The grounds were amazing, luckily we had a sunny day (for England anyway) so we could all properly appreciate the beauty of it. There was a lake by the main building, geese roaming around and a lovely bridge. It was all very picturesque and was great to walk around once we had finished our afternoon tea. Oh yeah, I also made a friend while I was there...

Random fact: I love peacocks, I think they are gorgeous birds. Elegant and brightly coloured, which is how I would like to be described!

I suppose I had better introduce you to my family too...
These ladies mean the absolute world to me. It is rare that we all get together at the same time so today was so wonderful. One of my aunties is pregnant too so it was the first time since the announcement that I got to see her bump!

So, that has been my day in the life. If anyone is looking for a fun activity to do then I would definitely recommend this (it makes you feel quite posh too).
