OOTD #2...

Hello my lovelies!

I am back again with another OOTD - this look is all about the monochrome with a pop of colour. I find it too difficult to leave things without colour so I think that the pink adds an extra something (check me out rhyming).
The blazer is from New Look; it is hot pink and has three quarter length sleeves. It is in a slouchy material so it is great to actually dress down an outfit instead of the usual look that blazers give. It does also have a button fastening but I don't usually do blazers up!
The dress is a recent purchase from Topshop in the sales and it was a bargain at just £15, then I got my student discount on top too! I know that monochrome is one of the fashion trends continuing into SS14 so I thought this would be a great investment that will be in my wardrobe for a while. It comes down to the knee which is a great length for me, I hate wearing anything too short and feel a lot more comfortable with this length. Also a skater skirt is best for my figure, I am a bit larger so this covers all that needs to be covered and emphasises my waist :)
The dress also has very cute little capped sleeves. I have never owned a dress before with these but I think that they give the look just a touch of femininity and completes the look off nicely!
The final element of my outfit are these shoes, also from Topshop in the sale for just £7! I really wanted some shoes with a little heel for Spring and Summer because at the moment I live in boots. These are so comfortable, the heel doesn't hurt and I love the little detail that the strap adds. These shoes were originally £28 so this was a bargain too. I must admit I am not usually a Topshop fan but these pieces may have swayed me a bit!

Some of these items aren't available any more but here are some alternatives that would create a similar look: blazer, dress and shoes.

Let me know what fashion trends you are looking forward to in SS14, I would love to know :)

Speak soon! xx
