A weekend of celebration!

Hello my lovelies!
 How are you all doing?
This week has been a very long week, but it has also been amazing. On Thursday I passed my teaching qualification with an 'outstanding' grade, the highest you can get! I was so pleased with this result, because it means that all of the hard work has paid off.

Paris 2016!

Hello my lovelies,

This month I went on a lovely little trip to Paris with my boyfriend. It's the first time I have ever been abroad with a partner and it was such a wonderful experience. We went away for Ross' birthday and we made it coincide with my half term. We only went for 3 days, so quite a short break, but that was all that we needed!

Day 1
After travelling on the Eurostar for 2 hours we arrived in Paris at around 2pm. We had to get the metro to Convention station as that was the closest to our hotel. I was worried about using the metro but it turned out to be identical to the London tubes so it was all okay! Our hotel was quirky and fun. It was surrounded my owl memorabilia and was a decent size. The shower in this hotel was amazing, I know that's a weird thing to say but honestly it was great. It was a massive rainfall one, it is now safe to say that I want one in my house.

Time flies...

Hello my lovelies!

God that feels weird saying that again. Long time no post, eh? It has been exactly 6 months today since I posted my last blog post. This wasn't intentional, life just kind of got in the way. These past 6 months have been the most hectic, but also the most rewarding part of my life.

Strawberry and cream cupcakes!

Hello my lovelies!

The strawberries this year are absolutely gorgeous, so I thought I would make the most of them and find a recipe including them! I stumbled across this strawberry and cream cupcake recipe in one of my recipe books and they looked divine. I am really happy with the way they turned out and they made me feel very British. This is a lovely simple recipe which has the wow factor in terms of decoration.

Triple chocolate cookies!

Hello my lovelies!

For the past 6 weeks I haven't had the time to bake anything that I really wanted to. As soon as I got back from teacher training I got back in the kitchen and started to bake! I wanted something chocolatey so I went for triple chocolate cookies - yum! They went down very quickly and my sister even said that these were her favourites out of everything that I have baked. As always, if you give these a go then please tweet me a message @jesstasticsblog
